Rep. Mike McIntyre, who will retire after this term, took a trip earlier this year paid for by lobbyists. The tour of Adelaide, Australia, McIntyre took with his wife Denise, topped the list of most expensive privately-paid trips ever. The total cost for their one-week stay was $49,635.

Wilmington resident suits up in Capital Classic; played soccer against Mike McIntyre

Earlier this week Wilmington resident Kimberley Crabbe played in the annual Capital Soccer Classic. Crabbe played on the Republican team. In fact Crabbe suited up against Democrat Mike McIntyre, the U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 7th congressional district. Crabbe is a former member of the US National Soccer Team.
