According to figures posted on CarolinaTransparency.com, Congressman Mike McIntyre, a Democrat who represents North Carolina’s 7th District, requested $218,116,000 in earmarks for the 2011 fiscal year -- the third-largest request among North Carolina’s House members.

According to a recent poll, if the election were held today, about half of New Hanover County registered voters would choose incumbent Mike McIntyre over challenger Ilario Pantano to represent the 7th District in Congress.

We've seen problems in elections before, but now it's reaching a boiling point with some voters. Some New Hanover County voters have complained about voting machines not registering their votes correctly. One voter, who did not want to go on camera, told us he raised his hand for help, but it never came.
