videoFolks in Wilmington said forget that turkey dinner and instead chose to wait outside of the Best Buy on South College Road. The doors opened around 5:00 p.m. and people piled inside to get their hands on the latest and greatest electronics and goodies.

North Carolina labor activists say they're protesting the social cost of Wal-Mart's low prices. Protests aimed at getting the retailing giant to pay more are planned Friday at Wal-Mart stores in Raleigh and nearby Clayton as holiday shoppers crowd in looking for bargains.

Christmas tree lots open and ready for business in Cape Fear

videoChristmas time is upon us now that Thanksgiving is nearly over. For many people, that starts with buying a tree. At the Optimist Club's tree lot at the Kmart in Wilmington on Thursday, volunteers said they had a few families come by and sold about 10 trees. They said the sales really pick up in the two days after Thanksgiving.
