West Brunswick boys improve to 10-0 in basketball; BCC men win too

videoThe West Brunswick Trojans sit on top of the Mideastern Conference with a 3-0 league mark and an overall record of 10-0. We checked in with the Trojans on Thursday. West Brunswick beat arch rival South Brunswick by 15 points. We also checked out college action involving Brunswick Community College.

UNCW holds off Liberty in OT

videoUNCW head basketball coach Kevin Keatts said last year's UNCW team would have found a way to lose Wednesday's home game against the Liberty Flames. As it turns out, UNCW won a sloppy, physical game in overtime to improve to 4-3 on the season. The game was highlighted by a handful of dunks. We hope you get a chance to check out the rim rockers on our video. On Wednesday we also showcased BCC men's hoops, UNCW women's basketball and Laney wrestling.

BCC Dolphins beat team from "Down Under"

UPDATE: Brunswick County locates missing man

Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office are looking for a missing Calabash man. They say Andrew Jansky, 19, was last seen at Brunswick Community College around 12:30 yesterday afternoon.

Screamin' Eagles claim Ashley title

videoThe Ashley Screamin' Eagles were clearly "Newsome Strong" this week. On Thursday Ashley baseball team claimed the championship title of the Ashley Spring Break Baseball Tournament. Due to anticipated foul weather Friday's UNCW baseball game will now be played at 3pm instead of 6pm. Plus more!

Kadeem Allen named First Team JuCo All-American

videoFor the second year in a row Wilmington's Kadeem Allen has been named First Team Junior College All-American in men's basketball. Allen attends Hutchinson Community College. Brunswick CC's Cam Jones was named Third Team All-American.
