The Poplar Grove Plantation was attracting more than peanut lovers this weekend. The plantation opened its gates to the Hampstead Art Show, and people were nuts about it.

The report card for North Carolina schools is out, and graduation rates are up.
Statewide graduation rates are up to 80 percent. That's a one-percent increase from last year.
Three counties in our viewing area have exceeded the state's average graduation rate.

Topsail High School's principal is leaving his job after a year of controversy. Marcus Skipper has resigned effective June 30.
The principal, who had issues with the Pender County School Board earlier this school year, says he is planning to continue a career in education elsewhere.
