WWAY 5th Quarter co-host and Wilmington resident Trot Nixon has been named to the All Fenway Park Team. Essentially this honor puts the former New Hanover Wildcat on the top 40 list for players who suited up for the Boston Red Sox in the last century.

On Tuesday night on WWAY we checked in on a special ceremony at Fenway Park in Boston. Trot Nixon and several of his 2004 World Series teammates were honored prior to the Red Sox-Rays game.... On Tuesday we checked out the UNCW-Duke soccer game. The Seahawks made a comeback victory.... On top of that we had local high school soccer action involving Laney and New Hanover...Plus more !

The 7th annual "Play for Emily" took place on Monday at the Landfall Country Club. When Emily Ann Wade was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, Emily and her family were helped out by the Ronald McDonald House Charity.
