video Two Wrightsville Beach police officers have been demoted and another has quit. Town Manager Bob SSimpson made the announcement this morning following weeks of investigations into the officers, who the town initially fired.

Wrightsville Beach Police Chief responds to investigations of officers

Thursday the Board of Aldermen held a special meeting and went into closed session to discuss the personnel matter. We spoke with Police Chief Daniel House afterwards about the progression of the investigations and the next step in dealing with the officers.

video A Wrightsville Beach couple says Progress Energy owes them thousands of dollars after a project to put in new lines went wrong. The couple claims the drilling hit a water line, and they were forced to pay to have it fixed. A waterline leak and thousands of dollars later, Brooke and Jeff Richardson want Progress Energy to own up to its mistake.
