In 2011 Darryl Mills was elected to be an alderman in Wrightsville Beach. Just a few hours later his son Adam was stopped by Wrightsville Beach Police and charged with DWI. That stop now has the town in federal court facing allegations of civil rights violations. Full story...

The Wrightsville Beach Aldermen held a special meeting to talk about the ongoing bridge work. The Wrightsville Beach Wahine Classic surf competition is back by popular demand after a one year hiatus, and these sassy surfers say they hope it's here to stay.
