It was a little too chilly to lay out on the beach this weekend, but it was perfect weather to enjoy a good kite festival. The massive, colorful kites painted the sky, while folks bundled up to enjoy the show.

The search for a man who jumped off a Wrightsville Beach bridge early this morning ended with a man in jail. Joseph Compton, 28, is charged with jumping from a state bridge, resist, delay and obstruction.
