Dennis Bannick is entering his second season as the head football coach of the West Columbus Vikings. This year he actually attended the first day of practice. He missed the first few days last year due to the fact he wasn't hired to coach West Columbus until August 4th, 2009. Baxter Morris was hired back in March to take over for Bob Lewis. It's one veteran coach taking over for another.

Toby Kasell is the new head football coach at East Columbus High School. He was named head coach this past June, replacing Travis Connor. The Gators won 5 games last season. Perhaps that's a number they can improve on with coach Kasell.
