The Wilmington Sea Dawgs are winless after opening the season with three consecutive losses. The Dawgs play their home opener on Sunday at the Schwartz Center in downtown Wilmington.

Hammerheads knock off FC New York

4.279 soccer fans saw Wilmington beat FC New York on Saturday night at Legion Stadium. The Hammerheads are now 3-1 on the season. Wilmington's next game will be May 21st at home against Charleston.

Ashley hurdler wins twice at 4-A state track meet

Ashley's Stanley Broaden is now a state champ. In fact he was a double winner on Saturday in Greensboro. New Hanover's Shelby Howell also emerged a state champion.

Ashley and Hoggard notch round one wins

video The Hoggard baseball team won the Mideastern Conference, earning the one seed in the state playoffs. The Vikings hosted Cape Fear, a wild card out of the Mid-South Conference in round one. Ashley was the two seed, also earning a home game in round one.

3-A results from state track meet

A South Brunswick student and a West Brunswick student both won events on Friday at the 3-A high school state championship track meet in Greensboro. In fact the West Brunswick student is a double state champion.
