The UNCW baseball team did not play well down the stretch this season. The Seahawks lost 7 out of their last 9 baseball games. Elon eliminated UNCW from the NCAA's on Sunday in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Corey Dick homered and had three of UNC Wilmington's 16 hits, and the Seahawks eliminated mistake-prone Army from the NCAA tournament Saturday with a 9-5 victory that ended on a bizarre triple play.

The North Brunswick Scorpions have not been afraid to play from behind all season. On Saturday the Scorpions fell behind, but they had the lead going into the final inning of play. Piedmont scored twice in the bottom of the 7th to claim the state 2-A baseball title.
