videoThe boys basketball team at Hoggard tipped off the new season without any of their football players on Monday due to the fact the Hoggard football team is still alive in the state playoffs. Hoggard still managed to beat Coastal Christian. New Hanover and Dixon also played on Monday. Virginia knocks UNCW men's soccer team out of NCAA's

videoVirginia defeated UNCW on Sunday afternoon in the second round of the NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament. Seahawk David Sizemore scored the first goal of the game midway through the first half to give UNCW the lead. Virginia scored an equalizer just before the break. The shots were clearly falling for UNCW as the Seahawks improve to 2-1 on the season under new head coach Kevin Keatts. UNCW beat VMI 110-93.
