Green Bay's Jay Ross shines in hoops title game

WILMINGTON,NC (WWAY) -- B.A. White defeated the Port City Playaz 70-67 on Wednesday in the title game of the Brett Blizzard adult basketball league. Two former UNCW Seahawks led B.A. White in scoring, but the team did get great support from a man whose known more for football. Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Jay Ross added six points. Once the NFL lockout ends the Wilmington resident will receive his Super Bowl ring from the Packers. Ross didn't play in the Super Bowl, but the New Hanover High graduate did spend the majority of the past season on the Packers practice squad.
