READ MORE:

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- A Tabor City Police officer's wife has found herself on the wrong side of the law.

Capt. Dean Foley's wife Teresa was scheduled to make her first court appearance today on charges of embezzling controlled substances from her employer.

The family of Burnis Benton

The family of Burnis Benton would like to know what happened to him and the missing Percocet?

Where's the News????

Why haven't we heard anything else on this story???? Is it not big enough news or is there just too much more bs to be covered (up)? I personally found this story very interesting so whats the outcome WWAY?

Bond

The unsecured bonds are courtesy of Judge Sasser. He has told all the magistrates that if an arrestee does not have a criminal record then to give the arrestee an unsecured bond. Oh wow what a wonderful world we live in. What are some people thinking?

Poor Senior Citizens

I just feel sorry for the old, sick, disabled people who really needed those meds! No sympathy for Mrs. Foley on this one. And btw, how did she only get $5000 unsecured bond? Those poor old ladys that got busted a couple weeks ago for selling pills(trying to make a couple xtra $$$) got it socked to their behinds, but this woman is stealing pills from these people and only got $5000 unsecured.....really?]

CCC------Corrupt Columbus County!

Didn't drugs and money get

Didn't drugs and money get missing from the Tabor City Police Department evidence locker?

I believe so 757, however,

I believe so 757, however, that was probably courtesy of Mrs. Foley's husband and a few more :)

It's time to see how Jon

It's time to see how Jon David will handle this, I guess it all depends on whether the captain is a democrat or republican (IF she is found guilty) but this is serious stuff!!! By the mere fact she was released on an unsecured bond pretty much means she will walk since her husband will probably be able to pull some strings for her.

Those are

a controlled drug. Normally, the custodian would be monitoring the distribution of the drug to patients and would raise a red flag should the number on hand vary from the inventory report.

So how could it take so long to unearth?

Remembering that one is innocent until prven guilty, she should have a full dance card, given her husband's identity, if she is convicted.

Wonder if she will wear a GPS monitor while awaiting trial?

I think this woman is wrong

I think this woman is wrong in so many ways, these people in these homes are ill, and some are dying..to take medication from them for her own personal use, or to make a profit off of is horrible...I would hate to know my parent or someone I loved was a patient in this home and not getting meds because of this woman...I'm not exactly sure what her title is but I am a nurse myself, and people who do things like this give us a bad name...
