School district investigating gun found in student's car

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- An investigation is underway in Pender County after a gun was found in a student's car on school property Friday night.

The school district says the gun was found in the car while Topsail High played its homecoming football game. A district spokeswoman could not say if the student has been disciplined.

The school system hopes the investigation will wrap up quickly, so it can say more about the incident.
