WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The New Hanover County Sheriff's Office's Vice and Narcotics unit wrapped up a three-week investigation yesterday that netted more than 300 bags of heroin, large amounts of packaging material and paraphernalia.
Early yesterday morning, detectives arrested Tierre Henderson and charged him with multiple counts of trafficking opium. Detectives continued their investigation by executing a search warrant at his home at 7310 Konlack Ct.
At the house they say they found large quantities of packaging material, including glassine bags, digital scales, stamps and ink pads. The bags of heroin were stamped with "Breaking Dawn" and "Dream Catcher."
The heroin seized has a street value of more than $9,000.
"The suspect was selling large amounts of heroin in New Hanover County. We have cut off a major heroin trafficker in our community," Capt. D.A. Ciamillo said.
The investigation is ongoing.
