WILMINGTON,NC (UNCW sports release) -- UNCW men’s basketball coach Buzz Peterson on Monday denied published reports link him to another college position and is looking forward to his third season with the Seahawks in 2012-13.
“I’m enjoying UNCW tremendously and plan to be here for a long, long time,” said Peterson. “It’s always difficult this time of year when many positions open, but I want everyone to know that I’m not a candidate for any other job. Period.”
Must have taken
a look at his contract and remembered the buy out clause. Most schools do not fund buy-outs for assistant coaches; so this would have been on his back.

Not certain about this, but I believe that is what he told Appalachian State. The next thing they knew he was headed to Wilmington for a news conference.
