Deputies arrest two after motel room drug bust


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Two men are in jail charged with several drug crimes after New Hanover County Sheriff's deputies searched a Wilmington hotel room.

Detectives arrested Oscar Jordan, 34, and Desmond Lamont Chapman, 21, after finding more than 110 grams of powder and crack cocaine and 39 bags of heroin inside the room at 4926 Market Street.

The cocaine has a street value of more than $10,000 and was packaged for sale.

Both men are in the New Hanover County Jail under a $100,000 secure bond.
