WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The arrest of a man on several warrants landed a woman in jail after police say she tried to eat heroin.
Wilmington Police say they arrested Terrence Jermaine Broils outside an apartment on Birchwood Drive on outstanding warrants. When they searched the apartment where he'd been staying, they found Chauncey Larue Edmunds and a small child. Police say Edmunds tried to eat the heroin to get rid of it.
Edmunds is in jail under $40,000 bond. She's charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver heroin and misdemeanor child abuse.
Broils is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, conspiracy to commit murder and firearm possession by a felon. He is in jail under $1 million bond.

Let her eat no big loss
Her child was there
and not only was heroin present; she tried to eat it.
Is it too much to think Social Services has the child and she will never regain custody?
I hope both bonds are secured.
