BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- A Fayetteville man is in jail on drug charges after a car crash involving a Bladen County Sheriff's deputy.
The Sheriff's Office says a deputy stopped Darnell James Callwood, 27, Tuesday after Callwood allegedly failed to stop for a stop sign just after midnight and hit the deputy in Tar Heel. During a search of the car, the deputy found 38 packaged plastic baggies of marijuana and give baggies of cocaine.
Callwood is charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and driving while license revoked. He also had an active order for arrest for failure to appear in court when he was stopped.
Callwood is out of jail after posting a $16,750 secure bond.
