UPDATE: Man now faces murder charge after shooting victim dies

SUPPLY, NC (WWAY) -- A Supply man facing attempted murder charges in a weekend shooting is now charged with murder after deputies say one of the two people he shot with a rifle outside his home has died.

This comes after William Calvin Steward, 36, of Supply, fired shots into an occupied vehicle Friday night during a party. Sheriff's deputies say the shooting happened around 11 p.m. at Steward's home on Eastfield Lane, where the two people shot were attending the party outside of his home.

Deputies arrested Steward Saturday on several charges including attempted murder, discharging a weapon into an occupied, moving vehicle, and one count of maiming without malice.

Deputies say Steward is now charged with the murder of Iqueisha Tequila Monique Collins, who has died since his arrest. They say Steward shot both Collins and Deontray Bryant, who is still recovering.

Steward is behind bars in Brunswick County under no bond.
