Bladen Co. murder suspect arrested, second still at large

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — One of two suspects wanted for a murder in Bladen County is behind bars.

The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office says Ernest Raysean Gray, 23, was arrested without incident just before 9 a.m. at a home in Clarkton. Officers served Gray with a warrant charging him with first degree murder in the shooting death of Malcolm Jerome Melvin Oct. 28 on Sammy Lane.

Gray made his first court appearance this morning. He is in the Bladen County Jail under a $3.5 million secured bond.
