Wife of man charged in sex crimes now facing charges

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies said the woman whose husband was charged last month in numerous child sex crimes is facing charges of her own.

According to jail records, Katherine Renee Jacobs, 34, was booked in jail this morning around 8:30 a.m. on six felony charges of child abuse – sex act. She was booked under a $50,000 bond. According to warrants, Katherine Jacobs allowed sex crimes to be committed against two victims.

Her husband, Michael Charles Jacobs, was arrested December 15 on numerous charges including indecent liberties with a child and first and second degree sexual offense. Warrants said the offenses happened between May of 2013 and December of 2015 and cites two victims. He’s still in jail under a $1 million bond.

According to jail records, the pair live in the Supply area.
