Annual Chowder Cook-Off draws crowd

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — It was chowder time Saturday for Pleasure Island’s 20th annual Chowder Cook-off.

Local restaurants put their best chowder to the test as participants taste and vote on their favorite. From traditional to buffalo chicken there was something for everyone who loves the soup. Restaurant owner Peter Donat said he never misses the event.

“The chowder cook off is one of the best events that they put off and it’s just good people, good food, and good chowder,” Donat said.

Guest could also enjoy live music and food and prizes from local vendors.
