Bladen County schools on temporary lockdown after shooting
BLADENBORO, NC (WWAY) – At least two people were shot in Bladenboro this afternoon, causing two schools to go on temporary lockdown.
According to Major Larry Guyton with the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, it happened in the city limits of Bladenboro. Major Guyton says he believes a suspect in the shooting is in custody, but he referred us to Bladenboro Police for further details.
Major Guyton says they are in the process of reopening the schools. He says the children were never in danger.
No word on the suspect or injuries of the victims.
WWAY has left a message for the Bladenboro Police Chief to get more information.
