Wilmington Police looking for shooting suspect
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the man believed to have shot a 39-year-old in the Houston Moore housing community yesterday afternoon.
Police have obtained warrants for 20-year-old validated gang member Hakiem Sherif Williams for assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill inflicting serious injury in connection with the shooting yesterday at 2:30pm in the 100-block of East Plaza. The victim of the shooting was treated and released from New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Williams is described as a black male, about 6’3, with a thin build, black hair and dark eyes. He has a tattoo of “Tiffany” on his right upper forearm.
