Two New Hanover County teens charged with December armed robbery
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – Two New Hanover County teenagers are accused of breaking into an apartment on Cape Harbor Drive and robbing and assaulting the 16-year-old inside.
The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office says it happened on December 31 around 2:00 a.m.
Deputies say Ean Freeman and Justin Billingslea entered an apartment at 7109 Cape Harbor Drive. Deputies say Freeman took out a handgun and hit the victim in the face with the gun.
The two stole cash, drugs, and an iphone from the victim and drove off in an older model Cadillac.
On January 6, deputies searched Freeman’s home at 203 Hilliard Ct.
That’s when they got arrest warrants for Freeman and Billingslea.
Deputies say the investigation continues.
