Chadbourn police chief resigns

CHADBOURN, NC (WWAY) – After 18 months on the job, Chadbourn Police Chief Darrell Trivette has resigned.

Chief Trivette turned in his resignation yesterday. His last day on the job will be February 5.

He became police chief on July 28, 2015.

Chief Trivette says the main reason he is leaving is because he got another job. He declined to say where.

He says this decision is beneficial for him and he would like to thank the people of Chadbourn for their support. He says residents have supported the police and fire department and that Chadbourn is ‘a good little town.’
