Suspect arrested, victim identified in fatal shooting Saturday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – One man is dead from a gunshot wound at a home Saturday.

According to Lt. Jerry Brewer with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, 57-year-old Curtis Oscar Adams was shot in the head. The call came in just before 7:00 p.m. Deputies responded to 218 Angel Island Road in Wilmington for a domestic disturbance.

17-year-old Khai Anthony Ressler has been arrested and charged with first degree murder.

The death investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
