New charges filed against Pender County pool contractor

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY)– Christian Villa, owner of Sunrise Pool Inc., was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, but that hearing has been canceled.

Court records indicate Villa may be facing additional legal matters. He was arrested again on May 26 on charges alleging that he accepted approximately $98,000 from a customer for a pool construction project and failed to complete the work after receiving payment.

Villa’s next court appearance is currently scheduled for July 15, when all pending cases are expected to be addressed during the same hearing date.
