Cucalorus Film Festival opens sponsorship opportunities, film submissions and Early Bird pass sales
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Organizers of the Cucalorus Film Festival are inviting filmmakers, businesses and movie lovers to take part in this year’s event as sponsorship opportunities, film submissions and Early Bird Pass sales are officially open for the 32nd annual festival.
The four-day festival will take place Nov. 19-22 in downtown Wilmington, bringing together independent filmmakers, performers and audiences from around the world for a celebration of film, creativity and community.
Recently named one of MovieMaker Magazine’s “50 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee,” Cucalorus has become one of the region’s premier cultural events. Each year, the festival showcases more than 100 films while also offering a variety of unique experiences, including live performances, special events and fan favorites such as Dance-a-lorus and the Bus to Lumberton.
Festival organizers say the event not only provides a platform for independent artists but also contributes to Wilmington’s reputation as an international arts destination.

Independent filmmakers can now submit their work for consideration through FilmFreeway. The final deadline for submissions is June 29.
