The Mobile Evacuation Bus is Brunswick County's new tool to assist in emergencies. It has room to transport 20 patients on a stretcher and 10 wheelchair patients. It can be easily reconfigured to transport up to 30 wheelchairs or used as a rehabilitation unit at major fire and rescue scenes.

About a year ago, we visited the Pender Correctional Facility's worship space and were told, by prisoners and the chaplain, the space is just not big enough to accommodate all who want to pray.

Severe weather across the area has kept first responders busy the past few days.
