VOTE 2012: Amendment vote drawing many to polls on Election Day

The Constitutional amendment to define marriage in North Carolina has gotten a lot of attention, and today it brought a lot of people out to the polls. Whether for or against, voters have strong opinions about Amendment One and were vocal about their decision today.

Swimming alert issued after unsafe bacteria levels found

Williston, Rotary Club celebrate partnership

Two more cases of rabies confirmed in New Hanover Co.

The state lab has confirmed two more cases of rabies in raccoons in New Hanover County. They are the seventh and eighth cases of the disease in the county this year.

Election Day underway across Tar Heel State

Voters in New Hanover County got out to the polls bright and early this morning. Poll workers and voters say that it wasn't a huge turnout early in the day, but that traffic at the polls is steady.
