On Monday the Laney boys basketball team picked up their first win of the season. Laney defeated New Bern. Laney also won the girls game. Unfortunately, the UNCW men's basketball team did not have similar results. Buzz Peterson's squad suffered their second home loss of the season. James Madison beat UNCW 63-56 at Trask Coliseum.
