Brunswick county woman arrested, cruelty to animal

videoOne woman is in jail after an Austrailian/Shepherd mixed canine was found abandoned in a foreclosed home. The dog was found in a wire crate and was severely dehydrated and malnourished. He was also unable to move his back legs.

Windy Wednesday could foul ferries

videoWindy weather could cut ferry routes tomorrow, including the Southport-Fort Fisher Ferry. NCDOT Ferry Division crews have prepared their docks to be ready in case routes need to be shut down when the storm arrives, making ferry travel potentially unsafe.

Council to consider $530k for Riverfront Park, $7k for DBA

NHSO: Stepdad shoots 3-year-old while putting safety on rifle

videoThe New Hanover County Sheriff's Office says a Wilmington man shot his three-year-old stepson yesterday while trying to put a safety lock on a rifle. It happened at a home on Yulan Drive.
