We've been spoiled with some great January warmth lately, but Mother Nature is looking to even things out. Before you know it, January will become January again with cold air on its way for next week.

It would appear that Mother Nature isn't ready just yet to get into the holiday spirit.

I'm sure you'll be talking about the change in weather a lot in your small talk sessions over the next few days. "It was just in the 70's," your co-worker in the elevator will say.

Not again! The cries have erupted wishing and hoping away another Sandy from striking the Northeast. Here's the good news; this is NOT another Sandy.

The TV meteorologist has long been the butt of many jokes. "What's the only job you can have and be wrong everyday? A meteorologist of course!" (Har, har, har.) Why is this the case? Well, as meteorologists we're trying to predict the future.

Isaac is strengthening and gaining steam as it heads toward the Caribbean.

The tropics are giving us trouble! Isaac will be strengthening soon, and then threatening parts of the Caribbean and possibly the US.

I'm declaring Hurricane Season now officially open. I know it started months ago, but bear with me.

Everybody has been waiting, or fearing, the season's first hot spell after our warm March, and now it seems like we have it!
