Ashley JacobsWhat's your favorite thing about the morning? My favorite thing about the morning is the peacefulness of it all! I love getting an early start to the day, before the chaos of "life" begins around 9:00am for most people. What time do you wake up in the morning in order to get to set on time? I wake up at 1:45am! My head hits the pillow at 8:15pm the night before. Recall your best memory from working in News... Some of my best memories include covering military homecomings in Savannah, Georgia. There's nothing like witnessing a father seeing his baby for the first time; a mother hugging her son after he's faced combat; or an excited child trying to tell his or her parent everything they've missed in the last year in just a matter of minutes. In addition to covering homecomings, I've loved covering every story that ends happily. We see a lot of bad news in this profession, so the opportunity to be a part of something pleasant is rewarding. Recall your funniest memory from working in News... My funniest memories include some of my own bloopers. Whether it was flubbing a word or tripping while walking and talking, I've had my fair share of "blonde" moments, but look back on them with a smile...and a giggle. What is your favorite breakfast food? MMM...an everything bagel with cream cheese and a slice of tomato! How do you take your coffee? I take my coffee STRONG with a lot of cream.
Meteorologist Tim BuckleyWhat's your favorite thing about the morning? It's definitely not the waking up part! I do love being able to clean the slate and start fresh each day. No matter what happened yesterday, today you get a chance to start over and try again! What time do you wake up in the morning in order to get to set on time? My alarm goes off around 2am! Of course there are several backups in case I hit the snooze button! Recall your best memory from working in News... I'll never forget the Carolina tornado outbreak from April of last year. It was a marathon day with 8 hours of live coverage, but I think we were able to save lives that day. Recall your funniest memory from working in News... There was one morning last year where somebody brought in pizza for a segment on GMC. The crew thought it would be funny if I had a slice that I was munching on when they came back to me for the weather tease. It worked well, only half the cheese fell off the slice and onto the desk! To top it all off, our director caught me eating that cheese off the desk heading into break! What is your favorite breakfast food? French toast, hands down! How do you take your coffee? People ask me all the time how much coffee I drink, and believe it or not, I'm just not a coffee person! I do like tea, and I just can't shake a good hot chocolate. Yum. |
