Update: Man dead after Creekwood shooting; ambulance carrying 2nd victim involved in crash

Wilmington Police say one man is dead and another hurt after a shooting in the Creekwood community Wednesday night. The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. Wednesday at 1005 North 30th Street.

National power Tennessee added to UNCW swimming & diving schedule

Local insurance agent arrested on alleged embezzlement charges

A local insurance agent has been arrested and charged with embezzlement. Insurance Commissioner Wayne Goodwin says Earl E. Gay, 58, of Leland is charged with 14 counts of embezzlement by an insurance agent.

Wilmington's gay and church communities respond to possible new amendment

video North Carolina is one of the last states in the Southeast without a constitutional amendment making it clear that marriage is only legal between a woman and a man. That all might change come May after the North Carolina General Assembly recently agreed to put an amendment banning gay marriage on next year's ballot.
