Road open after log truck overturns

A part of a Brunswick County road is now open after it was closed for nearly two hour this morning. According to Brunswick County Dispatch a log truck overturned around 5:47 a.m. on Longwood Road.

Ocean Isle Beach golf course worker killed

A maintenance worker at an Ocean Isle Beach golf course has died after the equipment he was driving went into some water on the course. Multiple media outlets reported that 46-year-old Jose Morales of Calabash died when the maintenance equipment he was driving went into the water at the Tiger's Eye golf course late last week.

Deputies search for shooting suspect

Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit are searching for a man wanted in connection to a shooting another. Deontray Tremel Bryant, 27, of Plainview Drive in Ash, is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Shallotte woman missing, last seen Tuesday

Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office are searching for a missing Shallotte woman. Tiffany Sheppard,21, of Holden Beach Road was last seen at her home on Tuesday around 7:30 p.m. and was last heard from by text yesterday around 8:00 p.m.
