A 9-year-old girl hit by a sport utility vehicle about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Andrews Drive and 17th Street was conscious and talking after she was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center, and doesn’t appear to have life-threatening injuries, a Wilmington Police Department sergeant said.
