Former Laney swimmer earns honorable mention All-American status

The 2014 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championship concluded on Saturday night. Laney graduate Stephen Coetzer earned honorable mention All-American status for his performance in the 200 backstroke. Coetzer is a junior at NC State. As a team NC State finished in 15th at the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championship. That was the highest finish among the ACC schools. Full story...

By a whisker the UNCW men's swimming team captured the CAA title on Saturday night. It's the 13th consecutive CAA title for Dave Allen's squad. In a winner take all event UNC Wilmington's 400 yard freestyle relay team won the last event of the night to secure the CAA title.
