WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A famous chef will be whipping up treats to help out a non-profit.
According to a news release, Lagasse will be in town on January 28 and 29 to prepare a private dinner Thursday and a public lunch at Pembrokes at the Forum on Friday. The private dinner will be for 30 guests at $10,000 per couple, while the luncheon will be for up to 200 people at $200 per ticket.
Both events are hosted by the non-profit foundation supporting the Girls Leadership Academy of Wilmington, the first all-girls charter school expected to open in August. Lagassee’s former boss Judy Girard, the president emeritus of the Food Network, chairs the GLOW Foundation Board of Directors.
