WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that allegedly took place Saturday morning at the Speedway gas station at 6769 Gordon Road in Wilmington.

According to NHSO spokesman Lt. Jerry Brewer, two men entered the gas station and demanded the female clerks give them cash and stole cash and cigarettes shortly after 5 a.m.

The suspects allegedly forced the women into the bathroom and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Brewer said one suspect is a black male between 5′ 8″ and 5′ 10″, weighing between 170 and 200 pounds, wearing a camo jacket, camo gloves, grey pants, white shoes, and a face covering.

Reportedly, he was carrying a small black revolver.

The second suspect is described as a white male between 5′ 6″ and 5′ 7″, weighing between 125 and 150 pounds, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, grey hooded sweatshirt drawn over his head, black shoes, and a face covering.

Reportedly, he was carrying a large revolver.
