WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — After years of waiting, a popular restaurant chain has finally open in Downtown Wilmington.
Waffle House opened its doors on Front Street between Grace an Chestnut at 7 a.m. this morning.
It will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
There are currently 40 employees and may eventually have up to 55.
49 customers at a time will be allowed in the new Waffle House.
Area Vice President Tim Greeson says the restaurant will have security and will operate an one in, one out policy if they get busy late at night.
