WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — After two years of debating short term rentals, Wilmington city council is one step closer to setting new rules for them.

The rules address two different types of short-term housing, homestay, which is renting rooms with the host in the home full time and whole house lodging, renting an entire home with the resident living there for at least 6-months out of the year.

The council meets Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall.
