NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — This weekend, an annual concert series is back with free entertainment for families around the area.

All concerts are free, open to the community and appealing to all ages.
The new season begins Saturday with a performance from the Robert Mabe Band, a bluegrass group featuring banjos, mandolin and guitar. The show is at 7:30 p.m. in Brown Hall. Director of Music Ministries Angela Burns said to check road closures before coming and to arrive early.
Other upcoming performances include Handel’s Messiah, River City Brass, Lenoir-Rhyne University Choir, Bracken Band and Nunsense: The Musical.
