WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — One of the three former Wilmington police officers caught on audio saying racist and inflammatory comments has filed an appeal with the city for reinstatement.
Their conversations were caught accidentally on a police car camera.
Gilmore’s attorney says they filed the appeal with the city’s Civil Service Commission July 2nd.
The move is required to set a hearing date within 60 days.
The attorney wants people to know there were two separate videos recorded and his client was only part of one of them.
