Local groups provide thousands of meals for kids

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Pastor Clifford Barnett sat down with ‘Good Morning Carolina’ anchor Ashley Jacobs to talk about a program to make sure children in need of food get healthy meals this summer.

Once the school year ends, many children are left without meals they had been getting during the school year. Watch the whole interview to learn more about the program.

Meals for children are served at the following locations:

Hope Baptist Church: lunch and dinner

Lee’s Chapel Amez Church: brunch

New Beginnings Church: breakfast and lunch

Price Cathedral Amez Church: lunch and dinner

St. Andrews Amez Church: lunch and dinner

St. Luke Amez Church: breakfast and lunch

Warner Temple Amez Church: breakfast and lunch
