Mandalay, city to meet on ballpark costs, financing

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Representatives from Mandalay Baseball will be back in Wilmington next Monday. They’ll meet with city leaders in hopes of coming to a reasonable agreement on the cost and financing associated of ballpark.

Tomorrow night Wilmington City Council will discuss a maximum $42 million bond referendum for the stadium that would go on November’s ballot.

At today’s agenda briefing, council members agreed the cost needs to be much lower.
