Incredible video from NC State’s football game involves WWAY, stairs, wall and dance team
RALEIGH, NC (WWAY) — Over the weekend we got caught in the middle of an incredible pass attempt at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh. The bizarre play featured a wall, a stair railing, a handful of dance team members from NC State, a former New Bern football standout who plays for the Wolfpack and a former South Columbus quarterback who nearly caught a pass while sitting in the stands. WWAY’s John Rendleman was caught in the middle of it too. Check it out.
NC State quarterback Jacoby Brissett’s last pass attempt on Saturday against Presbyterian was incomplete, but quite eventful. NC State wide receiver Braylon Cherry flipped over a stair railing while attempting to catch the pass. Former South Columbus quarterback Quinlan Hammond had a front row seat. The ball landed just inches away from Hammond. He had a front row seat for the near disaster. “Jacoby threw a deep ball in the back of the endzone,” Hammond said. “I guess Braylon didn’t see the pole right here, and he did a somersault over it. It’s a good thing he’s all right. I’m surprised they don’t have that thing covered up. That’s dangerous being right there like that.”
